Registered Social Worker (Manitoba, British Columbia)

Summer is an Indigenous woman from Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation Ontario. After practicing in Manitoba for 11 years, Summer and her family recently moved to Kelowna British Columbia where she continues to work with families in the Okanagan. Summer has practiced social work since 2010, ranging from community programs, foster care, abuse investigations, and consulting.

She is a certified Yoga teacher and has integrated mainstream therapy with holistic and alternative methods. Summer is committed to a philosophical approach that includes: trauma-informed practices, cultural safety, harm reduction, community-based programming, relationship building, anti-oppression and kindness.
